A specialist school located in Oldham, Lancashire that caters for students aged 11-16 from all backgrounds who have social, emotional and mental health challenges, trying where possible to reintegrate them back into mainstream school. They provide:
* 6th day provision to pupils permanently excluded from Oldham Secondary Schools and Academies.
* Up to 25 hours educational placements and a minimum 5 hours off site home tuition for pupils whose psychological needs create a barrier to their attendance at a mainstream school.
* Full time placements for out of borough difficult transfers
* Offsite outreach, reintegration support to pupils returning to a new mainstream school following a permanent exclusion
* Year 11 full time provision
* Provision for permanently excluded pupils undergoing statutory assessment
The school are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant who can commit to a long term position starting in September 2017.
The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will -
* have previous experience of working in an SEMH school or a similar setting
* be Team-Teach trained or willing to gain the qualification (Teaching Personnel can provide this)
* have or be working towards a TA qualification (level 2 or 3)
