Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Dolphinholme who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Year 6 class.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children succeed during a vital stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, boost pupil confidence, and help pupils prepare for their transition into secondary school.

The Role

• Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Helping pupils prepare for SATs and end-of-primary-school expectations
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
• Supporting the class teacher with classroom organisation and learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children in a school, childcare, tutoring, coaching, or youth work setting
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is confident supporting Key Stage 2 pupils
• Has a positive, proactive, and patient approach
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Is committed to helping children achieve their best
