- Do you have experience of working in a school setting as a Teaching Assistant?
- Do you have experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour or ASC (autism spectrum condition)?
- Do you live in Wirral or within a commutable distance and are able to commit to working Monday – Friday, 8.30-3.30?
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in KS3 who is struggling to maintain concentration in class and needs additional support both educationally and emotionally. The pupil does have ASC and so someone with knowledge of supporting people with ASC would be an advantage. This position is to start as soon as possible and is a long term position for the right candidate.

This school is located in Wirral, a short drive from the M53. There are both bus stops and a local train station for those teaching assistant who are using public transport.
Responsibilities
*To encourage the pupil to join in with all lessons and to take a full and active part in school life
*To prepare, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals
*To assist in resolving any behavioural, social and emotional difficulties which may arise
*To encourage the pupil to develop a positive self image, and to develop confidence in their abilities and communication with others.
