1:1 Behaviour Support required within a 'Good' Bury Primary School

  • 1:1 Behavioural Support for a year 1 pupil - September 2017 start until at least Christmas
  • "Good" Primary School in Bury - BL8 area
  • Competitive rates of pay of between £51 and £65 per day dependant on experience

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a 1:1 behavioural support for a year 1 pupil in one of our client schools in Bury, the role is to start in September 2017 and run until at least December 2017. The school was rated ‘Good’ from its last Ofsted visit and is recognised for its support staff and 'Outstanding' behaviour of pupils. The school has visionary leadership from the Headteacher and a strong support system for its pupils.

The role will require the sucessful candidate to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. This pupil struggles in particular with settling into a whole class setting and often has outbursts of aggressive behaviour. Experience supporting pupils with challenging and at times violent behaviour is highly sought after.

It has easy travel routes via the M66 and there are public transport links.

The pupil in question is transferring back to main stream schooling after being in a Pupil Referral Unit. They require extra support to ease the transition back.

Candidates should have a background in behaviour support, to work on a flexible one-to-one basis to support the pupil but who could also take on general teaching assistant duties in Key Stage 1 if required.
