SEMH Teacher

*** Teacher Required for Small Provision for Young People with SEMH Challenges in Manchester ***

• Do you have experience Teaching young people with Social and Emotional Challenges?
• Do you have any relevant qualifications such as Youth Work or Team-Teach?
• Do you have very good behaviour management skills?

My client a specialist school attached to a residential setting in Manchester who cater for young people aged 8 to 16 years who have struggled to cope in other settings due to individual barriers to learning, usually related to heavy trauma. The school provides a range of specialist programmes including nurture group work, play therapy, personalised programmes and vocational activities.

We need a resilient and proactive teacher who can teach a range of subjects to children to provide nurture-focused support; this will range from social and emotional to educational aspects of learning. Knowledge or previous experience of social, emotional and mental health traumas will be highly beneficial to candidates applying for this position.
