An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Teaching Assistant to work within the support department of one of our client schools based in the Washington area. The school itself is a mixed faith school of average size and enjoys a good reputation within the local community.

The Role:

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant position beginning in September 2020
  • Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Washington
  • Initially for one term, the role could be extended for the whole academic year with the chance to become permanent 
  • Supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 throughout the school
  • Earn up to GBP400 per week, depending on the roles and responsibilities involved

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils aged 11-16 across a range of subject areas
  • Providing small group intervention and 1:1 support for identified pupils
  • Supporting the class teacher and ensuring they have the correct support within the classroom
  • Aiding the support department and contributing towards new ideas and resources

To be considered for this role, it is important that you have some form of experience supporting children and young people previously. Any direct experience within a school setting is desirable, however not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
