Full-Time & Long-Term Opportunities – January Start

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a number of welcoming and ambitious secondary schools across the Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) region. We are looking to appoint Secondary Supply Teachers and Cover Supervisors to support several schools from January, with long-term placements available and strong potential for continuity.

These roles offer the chance to work within a range of inclusive, supportive schools that prioritise pupil well-being, positive relationships and a strong learning ethos.

Available Roles & Pay

• Secondary Teachers: £172.98 per day (including 12% holiday pay)
• Cover Supervisors: £120 per day

What We’re Looking For

Secondary Teachers

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Current EWC registration (Teacher category)
• Experience teaching KS3–KS4
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons
• Strong behaviour management and pastoral awareness

Cover Supervisors

• Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
• Confident classroom presence and ability to follow set lesson plans
• EWC registration (School Learning Support Worker category) or willingness to apply

Both Roles Require:

• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Reliable transport to travel across RCT schools
• A commitment to creating a positive, structured learning environment

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm, productive classroom environment
• Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with ALN
• Follow school policies and contribute to a positive school culture
• Build effective relationships with pupils and colleagues
• For teachers: deliver high-quality teaching and use assessment to inform practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
