The Role: As a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the academic and personal development of students with SEN. Working closely with experienced educators and support staff, you will create a warm and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support to students with SEN, both individually and in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging and accessible lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to assess student progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Creating a supportive and encouraging environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to contribute to the school community.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
