Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary:

£80 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them access the curriculum
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and parents to support the educational development of students with SEN

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent

Experience:

Experience working with students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in special education or SEN support
  • Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a secondary school environment
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Collaborative work with teaching staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
