Science Teacher - Derby - Temporary Position
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on the behalf of our client secondary academy in the Derby area who are looking to recruit a teacher of Science on a full time basis starting on Monday 8th March to cover on a temporary basis.

The role
- Full time position
- Able to teach KS3 and KS4 Science (any specialism)
- Preparing and planning for lessons with marking required
- Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
- Competitive rates of pay (after 12 weeks: AWR rate, paid to the scale the school would pay at directly
The Science Department
Students will develop their understanding of Science throughout the Key stage through a variety of modules covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These lessons will be driven by Learning challenges and incorporate the practical skills that the students need to be successful at KS4 and beyond. The practical skills will be delivered in a range of Scientific contexts from Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Requirements for the role
- Must have QTS/QTLS and experience teaching to the UK National Curriculum
- Strong behaviour management
- Will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to pupils
- Will be required to apply for a Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service
