One of our clients secondary schools is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher to start in September 2024!  Are you looking for an exciting new position? This role is ideal for either an experienced Science teacher or a confident Newly Qualified Teacher.

This role has become available due to an ongoing absence within the department.

Job description

  • Full time position
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS
  • Temporary basis to permanent
  • Teaching KS3/4

Requirements

  • QTS with science or related degree
  • Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics at GCSE level
  • Is motivating and ambitious, and able to deliver high quality results

This is an Ofsted ‘Good’ graded school, as such the new teacher should have excellent classroom management skills to maintain this standard.

The science department is looking for a practitioner who will foster a curiosity for the learning of science, and who is passionate about developing the scientific skills in students.  There is also the opportunity for involvement in science related extra- curricular activities.

Our client school is a Christian faith school and whilst it is not essential to be of Christian faith you must respect the Ethos of the school.

This school is based in Ashton-in-Makerfield,  with transport links from surrounding areas of Wigan, Golborne and Lowton.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
