Science Teacher
Teaching Personnel, the market leader of education recruitment in the UK, are working in partnership with a secondary school in Warrington who are seeking a Science Teacher to join them from September 2019. Although initially on a temporary contract, there is a permanent gap in the department due to a restructuring of the staffing team.
- Full time Teacher of Science required from September 2019
- Part time for the perfect candidate would be considered
- Permanent gap in the department, although temporary contract at first
- 'Good' effectiveness of leadership and management, Ofsted 2017
- Teaching Science up to GCSE level
- Pay in line with MPS and UPS
Situated in the Heart of Warrington, in a well respected area, the secondary school is located next to a public transport link making it easily accessible for Science Teachers travelling from central Manchester. The school have a Positive Progress 8 score of 0.11 which shows that the students enrolled at the school make at least expected progress through the hard work and dedication of the teaching and support staff.

The ideal candidate should have:
- Evidence of good quality teaching and subject knowledge
- An understanding of how to use assessment to inform planning for excellent teaching and learning
- The ability to differentiate materials to meet the needs of the learners
- Evidence of good behaviour management skills
- A willingness to contribute to enrichment activities
- Experience teaching all three disciplines of Science up to Key Stage 4 (although there is an opportunity to teach within specialism at GCSE level)
