An inspirational, enthusiastic and committed teacher of Science is required to join an experienced team working together closely in a well resourced, efficient department
Applications are invited from both experienced practitioners and those new to the profession. The department currently comprises of 5 full-time teachers and 4 part-time teachers. The Head of Department is supported by a KS3 co-ordinator and a KS4 coordinator. Pending timetable reviews, the incoming teacher may also be required to deliver some KS3 Maths.
The Science Department has a long tradition of academic excellence. The successful candidate is likely to have an interest in, and be able to make some contribution to, co-curricular activities.
Candidates considering this role should:
- Be a good teacher, with the ability to teach Science to GCSE
- Be a hard-working person with drive and determination
- Be an effective team member
- Be able meet deadlines and work under pressure
To start in September these will be permanent appointments. With excellent development and promotion opportunities this role would be suitable for an NQT at the beginning of their career or an experienced teacher looking for the next step in their career.
