An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join the team of educational practitioners at one of the highest-performing schools in the country. This secondary school is based in Maidstone and is seeking to recruit a Science Teacher on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2020.

Job description:

· Science Teacher

· Any Science specialism welcome – Physics – Biology - Chemistry

· Contribute to the school’s vibrant and dynamic learning environment

· Teaching Key Stages 3-5 (11-18yrs)

· Working alongside a team of dedicated, talented Science Teachers

· Payscale – MPS / UPS

· September 2020 start – permanent contract – full-time position

Person specification:

· A confident & qualified Science Teacher

· An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Catholic values

· Must hold UK QTS – applications open to both experienced & NQTs

· Graded as a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Science Teacher in lesson observations

· Achieving good / outstanding across the Teaching Standards

· Strong academic background: GCSEs, A Levels and Degree (ideally 2:1 or 1st class).

· Must be able to work effectively independently as well as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
