We are looking for educators who are passionate about helping pupils achieve their academic potential through individual tuition. You will work with learners who may need extra help with their studies, preparation for important examinations or specialist support to overcome barriers to learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for teachers and experienced tutors seeking flexible assignments, with tuition delivered in pupils' homes, schools or alternative learning environments.

What Will You Be Doing?

Your role will involve:

  • Providing individual tuition that reflects each pupil's ability, learning style and educational targets.
  • Helping pupils strengthen their subject knowledge and improve academic performance.
  • Planning and delivering structured lessons using suitable teaching resources.
  • Recognising learning gaps and introducing effective strategies to address them.
  • Reviewing pupils' progress and maintaining appropriate learning records.
  • Creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and independence.
  • Supporting children with additional educational, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Working collaboratively with parents, schools and other relevant professionals.
  • Maintaining safeguarding standards and ensuring pupils feel safe and supported.

Available Teaching Opportunities

We are keen to hear from tutors with knowledge and experience in:

  • Primary English, Maths and Phonics.
  • Secondary English, Mathematics and Science.
  • GCSE preparation and subject-specific tuition.
  • Functional Skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
  • History, Geography and Humanities.
  • Computing and Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Home-based education and alternative provision.

Skills and Experience Required

Successful applicants should demonstrate:

  • A minimum of two years' teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Experience supporting children of primary or secondary school age.
  • Strong understanding of their teaching subjects.
  • Confidence in adapting lessons to suit different learning abilities.
  • Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
  • A caring, patient and adaptable approach.
  • The ability to travel to assignments in Brackley and surrounding locations.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

QTS, PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience With Additional Learning Needs

We particularly value experience working with pupils with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • ADHD.
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia.
  • Speech, language and communication needs.
  • Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA).

  • Flexible tutoring opportunities to suit your availability.
  • Competitive weekly pay.
  • A variety of placements in homes, schools and alternative settings.
  • Opportunities for regular work and longer-term assignments.
  • The chance to make a positive impact on children's education and personal development.
