  • Encourage positive learning habits, participation and independence.
  • Provide appropriate support to pupils with SEND and additional behavioural needs.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, schools and relevant professionals.
  • Promote safeguarding, pupil welfare and a positive learning environment.

  • The ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • A flexible approach to meeting individual learning needs.
  • The ability to travel to assignments across Towcester and surrounding areas.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

A QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Experience Supporting SEND Learners

We particularly welcome applications from tutors who have experience working with children and young people with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • ADHD.
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' educational journeys.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you are passionate about education and committed to helping children and young people achieve their potential, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of the TP Tutors team, supporting learners throughout Towcester and nearby areas.

All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

TP Tutors is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All educators are subject to safeguarding checks in line with Department for Education (DfE) guidance including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). This may also include an online search as part of our safer recruitment process.

All educators must complete our annual tuition training programme, covering Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, KCSIE, Allergy Awareness, and Child-on-Child Abuse Awareness. Tutors must also hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Child-only Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, with full guidance provided.

Many pupils supported by TP Tutors require tailored educational provision. Tutors should be confident in building positive relationships, adapting their approach to meet individual needs, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding at all times. Tutors must also be able to effectively plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the learner’s individual needs, monitor progress, and adapt teaching strategies to support positive outcomes.
