TLR opportunity fo the right candidate who shows desirable leadership qualities
The school based in Chichester and considered to be a ‘good’ school are looking to recruit a Science Teacher to strengthen their team and continue build on their success. The post would be suitable for an NQT or more experienced teacher looking to progress in their teaching career.
The school is a small secondary school where every child is known is an individual and staff strive for excellence for each and every one of them. They are ambitious with high expectations of their pupils that are uncompromised to help all pupils achieve their full potential. The school is a happy on where pupil’s behaviour is reported to be good and teachers and students alike have high regard for one another.
This school is an innovative one that hosts excellent facilities, well resourced departments with a high emphasis placed on the importance on use of ICT in the classroom. At KS3 all pupils have an ipad for use in the classrooms which are used as a way to explore, create experiment, assess and inspire. Teachers are encouraged to approach their pedagogy with creativity with students learning through activities as independent research, film making, presentations and quizzes.
At GCSE students follow the Combined Science AQA trilogy course and the departments practice is rooted in academic rigour taught through engaging and inspiring lessons. The department are committed to their extra curricular programme which is vital that any new member of staff fully engage themselves with. To be successful in this department, you must strive to be an outstanding educator with vision for the development of the highest quality teaching and learning and be fully committed ensuring every student is considered and makes excellent progress. You should have experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science as well as an ability to develop quality relationships with students, parents and staff like being important elements of the role.
