Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Science teacher on behalf of a client school located in Bolton.

This Roman Catholic secondary school have an opportunity for a Science teacher looking for a progressive role following the Easter break.

  • Science teacher required for a full time role from April 2018
  • Ofsted graded good Roman Catholic secondary school
  • All Science specialisms considered (Biology, Physics and Chemistry)
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on scale point

Due to a member of staff moving on to gain promotion, an opportunity has emerged within this schools Science department following the Easter holidays. Required initially on a temporary basis, is a Science teacher who can comfortably adapt and slot into this schools Science department until the end of the academic year.With the school looking to appoint a Science teacher on a permanent basis ahead of the new academic year, this is an excellent opportunity for any Science teachers looking to gain an introduction to a school that can provide a clear progression pathway for those seeking permanent employment.

Science teachers interesting in apply for this position will require:

*Experience teaching all areas of Science across key stage 3 and ideally at GCSE

*Firm classroom presence and the ability to engage pupils

*QTS/NQT status and a PGCE in Secondary Science

Located on the border of Bolton and Chorley this 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school is average in size with roughly 1050 pupils on roll. Accessible from the Bolton town centre the school is easily commutable via public transport links or via the M61 (For those with their own transport) from the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford, Wigan and Manchester. Under the guidance of a new Headteacher, this school continues to excel and pupils make progress above the national average.
