Science graduate Teaching Assistants
Teaching Personnel are seeking Science graduate Teaching Assistants to work in our partner secondary schools across Liverpool, St Helens and the Wirral. These roles will be to specifically focus on raising attainment in Science prior to the GCSE examinations. This is a unique opening for a Science graduate to support directly within a Science department at a high performing secondary school:
- Science graduate Teaching Assistant
- Working under the Head of Science to deliver pre-set work
- Tutoring pupils with their GCSE exam preparation
- Supporting 1-to-1 in Science lessons and to carry out small group sessions
As a result of the mock examinations highlighting a small number of pupils who require additional support to raise their progress in Science.
The roles provide a Science graduate with a fantastic opportunity to utilise their subject knowledge and make a difference in pupil's lives. It will also provide invaluable experience prior to any Science graduates thinking of completing their teacher training in the future.
The incoming Science graduates will ideally have previous experience of working with 11-16 year olds in an educational capacity. Further being able to deliver resources confidently and to build effective working relationships with pupils is essential.
