Position: Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Levenshulme, Greater Manchester

Start Date: September 2023

Salary: £1,500 - £1,700 per month (depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated Science graduate with a passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists? Do you want to make a positive impact on students who may have fallen behind their peers in Science studies? If so, this is your chance to join a supportive secondary school team in Levenshulme as a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Role Overview:

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who may be facing challenges in their Science education. You'll work closely with experienced teachers to provide personalized guidance, helping students build confidence and excel in Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance in Science.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver customized Science lessons and interventions.
  • Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create an engaging and motivating learning environment for students to thrive in Science studies.
  • Assist in developing strategies to help students catch up with their peers in Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure students receive comprehensive support.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Science or a related field.
  • A strong passion for Science and a desire to inspire young minds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students who may be facing academic challenges.
  • A genuine desire to help students overcome obstacles in their Science studies.
  • The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
  • A commitment to students' educational development and well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
