Reception Class Teaching Assistant

A GOOD Catholic Primary School located on the outskirts of PRESTON are working collaboratively with Teaching Personnel in order to find a Teaching Assistant to work in their Reception class. The role will begin from the 28th October 2019 and run on a temp to perm basis. In the passed two years, the school in question have contracted 7 members of agency staff through Teaching Personnel- which has been a huge success! The school will settle you into the role from September and then begin the probation period, expected to be 16 working weeks through the agency.

As a school which work collaboratively with Teaching Personnel, we are keen to source a quality candidate as soon as possible to interview. Interviews will be taking place on 26th and 27th of September with the Head teacher, EYFS Lead and School Business Manager. The Head teacher noted that they are looking for the following type of candidate to join their team;

Level 2 or above/equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification

Recent school based experience, preferably in the Early Years or Year 1

Commitment to joining a forward thinking primary school 30 hours a week

Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos in school

Desire to develop through additional qualifications and training

The role is open due to a permanent member of staff retiring from Aug. 2019. This member of staff will be well missed after a number of years service. The Head teacher and the rest of the EYFS team have made it clear that they more than happy to fully induct and welcome a new practitioner to the team and ensure they hit the ground running straight away.

As mentioned previously, the school in question holds a recent GOOD Ofsted grading. They also hold a GOOD with OUTSTANDING Christian inspection grading. With this, you will be supported by a well established and high performing team, including the Senior Leadership Team which has worked tirelessly in the last 24 months to move the school from Requires Improvement to Good.
