Are you looking to gain classroom experience through flexible employment in Leeds? Looking to pursue teaching in the future? Are you a Graduate with classroom experience looking for a part-time role? Then working as a Cover Supervisor could be your ideal position. With closely with our partners Leeds Trinity University we are able to offer PAID daily supply for graduates. This is the prefect opportunity for you to get paid for the experience you need.

We are working with a Leeds secondary school that is looking for a committed and professional individual to undertake a Cover Supervisor role. You will be responsible to supervise a whole classroom in the absence of the teacher. This can be on a day-to-day basis or short-term to cover illness. You will be overseeing the class to make sure students complete the work left by the absent teacher and be available to support the students with any difficulties.

Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of a class teacher

Demonstrate a dynamic and engaging teaching style

Build a strong rapport with learners and staff

Be calm under pressure

Cover a wide variety of subjects

Requirements:

You will ideally have experience in a secondary school, as a tutor/learning mentor/coach, or in an alternative education setting

We will also consider graduates who don't have school based experience but are keen to gain experience before undertaking a PGCE

A fully enhanced DBS certificate on the DBS update service (can be applied for through Teaching Personnel)
