Salary Scale: £110 - £140

Contract: Temporary - Possibility of temp to perm

Teaching Personnel are working with an Outstanding school in Nottingham to recruit an equally Outstanding teacher of RE.

The school in question is a Catholic school based quite centrally in Nottingham. The school can be easily accessed by both public transport and car.

The school age range is 11 to 19 and has 1126 on roll with 229 in the Sixth Form.

The schools last OFSTED report found them to be OUTSTANDING (Ofsted November 2008 - section 5 inspection), So much so that OFSTED have reduced the amount of school inspections that are carried out.

The school has a reputation to be a thriving, high achieving school that is always oversubscribed with a lovely working atmosphere.

They also have a longstanding academic, Arts, Music and Sporting traditions and enjoys strong relationships with local schools and parishes.

The school has separate buildings for pastoral bases: KS3 in Lower School, KS4 in Upper School and KS5 in the Sixth Form as well as two smaller SEND/EAL support centres

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and outstanding classroom practitioner to join our Religious Education team.

The school is committed to providing the highest quality of learning and teaching opportunities for students, as well as excellent continuous professional development programmes for all staff.

The successful Religious Education teacher must be experienced teaching students at KS3 and KS4. Experience of teaching in a Catholic school would be ideal.

The RE teacher must also obtain a high level of confidence ensuring that all students are well catered for, allowing personal progression and growth. Ideally, the school is looking for an open-minded individual who is easily adapted to new ways of teaching and learning, enhancing the creative approach to teaching within the well-established RE department.

For teacher roles, we require:

  • A formally recognised RE teaching qualification
  • Enhanced (Child Work Force) DBS - on the update service
  • Full Teaching Qualification With Science Specialism
  • 2 Recent Teaching References
