Qualified English Teacher

Location: Oldbury

Start Date: January 2026 

Pay Rate: MPS/UPS


 

About the role:

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through language, literature and creativity? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

As an English Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5 opportunities), helping students develop confidence in reading, writing and spoken language. You’ll create a positive classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged and motivated to achieve their best.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Teaching English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum

  • Planning creative and engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning

  • Assessing work and providing clear, constructive feedback

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently

  • Supporting students of all abilities to make progress

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and departments

What were looking for: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English

  • Confident classroom management skills

  • A flexible and positive approach to teaching

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in students’ lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
