English Teacher- Full Time- Solihull based mainstream secondary school- January Start

 

Are you looking for a new challenge for 2026? Look no further, as the team at Teaching Personnel are in collaboration with an OFSTED rated "Good" secondary school within the Solihull area to appoint an English teacher on a full time, long-term basis commencing in January 2025. This role has the potential to become permanent for the most suitable applicant.

 

Rate of pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)

Location: Solihull (B90)

Start date: January 2025

 

Ideal person specification:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Full availability

- Previous experience teaching English within a UK based secondary school

- Excellent school based references

- Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence

- Excellent subject knowledge and knowledge of the national curriculum for English

- Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs and the knowledge on how to adapt lessons to suit individuals (desired)

 

Roles/Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver a range of English lessons in line with the national curriculum

- Differentiate lessons to suit the individual needs within each class

- Regularly assess pupil progress and provide informative feedback to support their learning and development

- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to drive standards

- Remain committed to upholding safeguarding principles as well as schools policies and procedures at all times

- Communicate effectively with parents and carers where necessary
