Do you have recent experience within UK schools and want to excel in a new role?

 

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Full Time (term time only)

Rate of Pay: To Scale MPS/UPS

Location: B90, Solihull, West Midlands

 

Teaching Personnel are in partnership with a fantastic secondary school in Solihull, B90 as they are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher of English to join their thriving English department.

Having been the top performing department for exam results for the last 2 years, they are keen on continuing to make a positive impact upon the next generation of learners.

 

They are looking for someone with:

- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent

- Excellent school-based references and a proven track record

- Recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

- Fantastic well-rounded subject knowledge and expertise

- A real passion for teaching English

- Experience teaching up to KS4 English and ideally someone who is happy to take A-Level classes too

- Experience supporting children with special educational needs such as dyslexia

 

The job entails:

- planning a range of exciting English lessons in line with the national curriculum

- completing regular formative and summative assessments of pupils progress

- providing detailed and encouraging feedback to all learners within your classes

- motivating pupils to strive to be the best they can be

- supporting pupils through their exam preparation and providing extra revision sessions and support where necessary

- collaborating with colleagues within the English department to ensure you maintain the positive track record of results

- maintaining a commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring safeguarding and pupils' safety and wellbeing is at the centre of your practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
