English Teacher- Full Time- January 2026 Start- Coventry Based Secondary School (CV6)
Teaching Personnel are in collaboartion with a mainstream secondary school based in Coventry to appoint an experienced and reliable English Teacher on a full time basis to cover maternity untill atleast July 2026.

Important Details:
Hours- Full time, term time only (Mon-Fri, 8:30-15:30)
Rate of pay- To scale (MPS/UPS)
Location- Coventry, CV6
Start date- January 2026
Ideal person specification:
QTS- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
Recent, relevant experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the UK national curriculum for English
Strong classroom presence and confident with behaviour management techniques
Ability to engage all learners of all abilities within a class
Job roles/responsibilities:
To plan a range of English lessons in line with the national curriculum which caters to all abilities within the class
Differentiate lessons to suit the individual needs within the class
Regularly assess pupils' progress through forms of assessment- providing them with informative feedback to support their learning and development
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, keeping disruption to a minimum in the classroom
Collaborate with colleagues within the English department to ensure it is a high performing subject in the school
Maintain a committment to safeguarding at all times, ensuring schools policies and procedures are followed at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
