Job description

 well-regarded secondary school close to central Coventry is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This position is available to start from Easter 2026 or May half term, depending on the availability of the successful candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established English department, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

The Role:

  • Full-time English teaching position

  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress

  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching English within UK secondary schools

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Be passionate about raising attainment and inspiring students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
