Location: Wolverhampton, Secondary Schools
Start date: Autumn Term
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
About the role:
Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a passionate and qualified English Teacher to work within secondary schools across the Wolverhampton area. This role would suit someone who is enthusiastic about their subject, confident in the classroom and committed to supporting students in achieving strong outcomes in English Language and Literature.
Role Responsibilites:

Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning materials in line with the national curriculum.

Support students of varying abilities, ensuring progress for all learners.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
-
Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support ongoing improvement.

Collaborate with department staff to develop curriculum plans and share best practice.
-
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Role Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.
-
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (placement or post-qualification).
-
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
-
A genuine passion for supporting young people in their academic and personal development.
-
A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
