CORE SUBJECT SECONDARY TEACHER
Location: Brent, North West London
Contract: Full Time Permanent or Fixed Term
Start Date: September 2026 or Sooner by Agreement
A vibrant and ambitious secondary school in the London Borough of Brent is seeking a dedicated and high performing Core Subject Teacher to join its teaching team. This opportunity is open to teachers of English Mathematics or Science who are passionate about delivering high quality education and raising outcomes for pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be committed to inspiring pupils fostering a love of learning and maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour. You will join a supportive department that values collaboration reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging well structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Set high expectations that motivate challenge and stretch all learners
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote positive behaviour and a safe inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to curriculum development within your subject area
Participate fully in departmental meetings CPD and whole school initiatives

A qualified teacher with QTS or working towards QTS
Strong subject knowledge in English Mathematics or Science
A reflective practitioner committed to improving outcomes for all pupils
Excellent classroom management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
