Are you a Psychology teacher with experience delivering your subject at GCSE level? Are you interested in securing a long term role covering maternity leave within a Bolton based secondary school which holds a great reputation?

If so, please see details below of our client school located in Bolton who hope to meet available Psychology teachers as soon as possible.

  • Full time post covering maternity leave - Starting ASAP
  • Temporary post initially until January 2019 with potential extension
  • Must have experience leading GCSE Psychology and be willing to cover RE to lower school level
  • Supportive senior leadership in a rapidly improving school
  • Paid to scale in line with experience (£22,467 - £38,633)

This 11-16 secondary school based on the outskirts of Bolton town centre require a GCSE Psychology teacher to deliver the OCR syllabus to KS4 students. The post is a temporary position covering maternity leave with the member of staff not due to return until early in the new year.

Suitable applicants for this Psychology teaching post will need to have:

-QTS/NQT status and experience delivering Psychology to GCSE level

- Experience delivering RE to KS3 level (Desired but not essential)

-An ability to plan and deliver engaging learning activities and a commitment to raising pupil attainment in Psychology

This school is located in the heart of Bolton and has roughly 900 pupils on roll. The school serves a good catchment area and pupils respect their teachers and peers. Located just a few miles from Bolton train station, the school is easily accessible via the M60 or M61 making the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford, Manchester and Wigan easily commutable.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
