Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to get your foot into the education sector? Teaching Personnel are looking for Psychology graduates to work with a client school based in Newport as a specialist teaching assistant. The students that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. Candidates will be asked to work on a one to one basis. You will be required to keep pupils engaged and on task to meet their objectives of the day and support in their daily routine. Candidates will be asked to work within regular school hours of 8:30-3:30. The pay will be based on experience, the scale will be from £57.00 - £60.00 a day based entirely on experience.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a Psychology degree or equivalent
- Have strong behaviour management skills
- Have good communication skills
- Be a team player
- Have an outgoing personality
- Be confident
- Show great resilience
- Have a passion for helping others
