Blackburn & Surrounding Areas
Flexible Hours | Part-Time | Casual Work Available

We are currently recruiting Ad Hoc SEMH Education Support Staff to work in schools and alternative education settings across Blackburn and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for support workers, students, youth workers, aspiring teachers, psychology graduates, mental health practitioners, sports coaches, and anyone looking to gain valuable experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

As an SEMH Education Support Worker, you will support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Building positive and trusting relationships
  • Encouraging engagement in learning and daily activities
  • Assisting teaching staff in creating a positive learning environment
  • Acting as a positive role model for young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
