Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a comprehensive secondary school in Maidstone, starting as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced English Teacher to join a supportive school and teach across GCSE and A-Level, helping students to develop their confidence, knowledge and academic skills.
The Role
- Teaching English across GCSE and A-Level
- Planning and delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
- Supporting students of a range of abilities
- Preparing students for examinations and assessments
- Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the English department
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching English at secondary level
- Have experience teaching GCSE English, with A-Level experience desirable
- Have strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
- Be confident managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations
- Be passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential
- Be available to start ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
