Why we are looking for Psychology Graduates:

Psychology Graduates tend to work really well supporting students for a number of reasons. If you are supporting a child with behavioural needs you tend to have the mindset to seek why the child may be behaving in such a way, rather than simply reacting. Lots of Psychology Graduates that are considering a career as an Educational Psychologist tend to enjoy working as a Teaching Assistant to gain experience working with children.

What you will be doing:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis, or in small groups. These students may have special educational needs and need extra support. Some students will be dis-engaged in school and need a "behaviour buddy" role model to help them engage in their studies.

Requirements:

• Strong academic background - Psychology degree
• an enhanced DBS - Teaching Personnel will provide guidance on how to apply for this.
