Year 6 Teacher – Full Time (Burnley)
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time, initially for 12 months
Location: Burnley
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly skilled Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burnley. This full-time role begins in April and will run initially for one year, with the potential for extension.
About the Role
We are looking for an inspiring educator who can confidently lead a Year 6 class through their final months of primary school, supporting them both academically and emotionally as they prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and intervention where required
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified teacher (QTS required)
- Experienced in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Confident in planning and delivering SATs preparation
- Committed to raising standards and fostering a love of learning
- Organised, reflective, and proactive in their practice
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
