English Lecturer – Sixth Form College
Location: Wigan
Contract: Long-Term & Day-to-Day Cover

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Sixth Form College in Wigan to support ongoing staffing needs within their English department.

We are seeking an English Lecturer to cover long-term gaps within the specialist subject area, as well as provide daily and short-term cover where required.

The Role:

• Deliver A-Level and/or GCSE English

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for longer-term placements

• Provide high-quality daily cover when needed

• Monitor progress and maintain high academic standards

The Ideal Candidate:

• QTS, PGCE or relevant post-16 teaching qualification

• Experience teaching English at GCSE and/or A-Level

• Confident adapting between planned long-term teaching and flexible cover
