English Lecturer – Sixth Form College
Location: Wigan
Contract: Long-Term & Day-to-Day Cover
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Sixth Form College in Wigan to support ongoing staffing needs within their English department.
We are seeking an English Lecturer to cover long-term gaps within the specialist subject area, as well as provide daily and short-term cover where required.
The Role:

Deliver A-Level and/or GCSE English
-
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for longer-term placements
-
Provide high-quality daily cover when needed
-
Monitor progress and maintain high academic standards
The Ideal Candidate:
-
QTS, PGCE or relevant post-16 teaching qualification
-
Experience teaching English at GCSE and/or A-Level
-
Confident adapting between planned long-term teaching and flexible cover

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
