Teacher of Art (Maternity Cover – 1 Year)

We are working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Wigan, rated Ofsted ‘Good’, who are seeking a passionate and creative Teacher of Art to cover a 1-year maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-resourced department within a strong and inclusive MAT, where creativity is valued and staff are genuinely supported.

The Role:

  • Teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning engaging, creative lessons that inspire students

  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress

  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level (ECTs welcome)

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • A passion for creativity and student engagement
