Teacher of Spanish (Maternity Cover)
WN5 – Wigan
May Start
Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

We are working with a friendly and well-led secondary school in the WN5 area, part of a supportive Multi-Academy Trust, who are seeking a Teacher of Spanish to cover a maternity leave starting in May.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong MFL department in a school that values languages, staff wellbeing, and professional development.

The Role:

  • Teaching Spanish across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

  • Working collaboratively within the MFL team

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Spanish in UK secondary schools

  • ECTs and experienced teachers welcome

  • Strong classroom management and a passion for languages

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
