A forward-thinking secondary school in Central Manchester is looking to appoint a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs and behavioural challenges.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs

• Assist in delivering interventions focused on behaviour, emotional regulation, and well-being

• Work closely with the SENCo, pastoral staff and class teachers to support students’ progress

• Help manage classroom behaviour and support inclusion

• Gain practical experience relevant to psychology and education

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A degree in Psychology (or a closely related field)

• A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

• Experience working with young people (in education, care, mentoring, or volunteering) is an advantage
