Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Central Manchester
Location: Central Manchester Secondary School
Start Date: September | Pay: £89.38 per day | Full-Time (Term-Time Only)

A forward-thinking secondary school in Central Manchester is looking to appoint a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs and behavioural challenges.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
-
Assist in delivering interventions focused on behaviour, emotional regulation, and well-being
-
Work closely with the SENCo, pastoral staff and class teachers to support students’ progress
-
Help manage classroom behaviour and support inclusion
-
Gain practical experience relevant to psychology and education
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A degree in Psychology (or a closely related field)
-
A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
-
Experience working with young people (in education, care, mentoring, or volunteering) is an advantage
