Psychology Graduate needed in Milnrow

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to further your experience with Special Educational Needs?

Do you have aspirations of becoming a teacher or educational psychologist in the future and would like to build up your school based experience before applying for a PGCE or other training course?

A mainstream Primary school in Milnrow (OL16) is looking for an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate with a 2.1 degree or higher, and a kind, caring approach.

The right candidate will have coherent written and verbal communication that aids the understanding of the more challenging areas of the curriculum. The Head teacher is looking for a confident Psychology Graduate who is self-assured and passionate about supporting pupils with SEN. If you're enthusiastic about working with children and are committed to making a difference to the lives of children, this role could be ideal for you.

As a Teaching Assistant, your time will be spent working closely with pupils with SEN requirements. The successful Psychology Graduate will be working directly with the school's SENCO and liaising with teachers and parents to deliver effective SEN provision. You will be working 1:1 and with small groups of SEN pupils to raise attainment through intervention classes.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Driven to begin a career in primary education
  • Dedicated to providing exceptional academic and emotional support to children with additional needs
  • Looking to find first hand SEN teaching experience
  • Supportive and positive attitude

In turn, Teaching Personnel can offer you;

  • 20 years experience within Educational Recruitment working in partnership with a large number of Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools
  • A dedicated, specialist consultant to support you and your needs
  • Unrivalled CPD opportunities including Team Teach, NASEN and People Moving & Handling
  • Work in schools exclusive to Teaching Personnel
  • Full or part-time work to fit around your existing commitments
  • £50 reward every time you recommend a colleague/friend to work with us
