Job Summary…

Teaching Personnel are looking for private tutors to deliver tuition sessions in Maths, English, and Science to students with a range of abilities.

Join us and earn £20+ per hour, teaching a subject you love, with flexible working hours. Providing tuition through Teaching Personnel is the ideal job for stay-at-home parents, graduates and former teachers that wish to continue working with children without the hassle of a classroom based role.

I'm looking to meet with tutors from a wide variety of backgrounds, whether you have worked in education for many years, or if you're a Newly Qualified Teacher or core-subject graduate.

Teaching Personnel are currently working in close partnership with County Councils, Local Education Authorities and Virtual Schools, providing private 1-1 tuition for Looked After Children, children at risk of exclusion, students without a permanent school placement, and students in need of additional support in key subject areas.

This is the ideal opportunity to work closely with vulnerable young people without the stresses that can occur in a classroom based role.

The finer details…

  • Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long, up to 3 times a week
  • Lessons usually take place at a student's home, or at a public place such as a library or community centre
  • Key Stages can vary from KS1 through to KS4, with many seeking help for specific examinations, such as SATs, GCSEs or A-Levels
  • You can take on as much or as little tuition as you wish, the only limit is your own diary
  • We will obtain a referral form from the carer of the student, detailing their ability levels which will then be passed to you to prepare suitable sessions
  • You will be required to log weekly feedback on the student's progress which will be sent directly to the school that the student is on roll with

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Have a personable, professional nature
  • No formal teaching qualification necessary, but you must have strong subject knowledge
  • Have a passion for teaching and educating

Benefits

  • Earn up to £25 per hour by tutoring in Maths, English, Science at a time that suits you
  • No shortage of work - referrals for new tuition come in daily
  • Your own dedicated and specialist Recruitment Consultant
  • Flexible working options to suit your lifestyle - pick and choose how many referrals you'd like to take on
  • Access to long term, permanent positions within the classroom if you're looking for something different
