Primary Years SEND Teacher

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of an SEND school in Stockton on Tees, who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic SEND Teacher for Key Stage 1 and 2 students. The role will start with immediate effect and will be on going for the foreseeable future. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced special needs teachers as well as specialist teaching assistants on a full time basis.

An enthusiastic and proactive teacher is required to work with students with various SEND, including:

  • Speech and language difficulties
  • Autism
  • Downs Syndrome

You will have a desire for working with children and be looking to make a real difference. You must be a strong role model, motivated and dedicated to providing outstanding teaching, the role will include assisting the children with day to day life skills as well as curriculum based knowledge. Ideally you will have experience of working within an educational setting with students with SEND; however individuals with a mainstream teaching background will be strongly considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
