Primary Supply Teacher
Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher seeking work for September? Are you a Fully Qualified Teacher looking for a change / step back in your career? Have you been considering supply work? If so, Teaching Personnel can provide you with some great opportunities.
Newly Qualified Teachers – Everyone’s approach to teaching and how people want to begin their teaching career, differs. However, lately, Teaching Personnel have seen an increase in Newly Qualified Teachers wanting to work on supply. Reasons vary from not finishing student placements due to COVID-19 and wanting to gain more experience, to NQT’s who simply want to work in a variety of different schools to refine their skills and preferences. Either way, working on supply is a great way to begin your teaching career.
Fully Qualified Teachers – We register teachers from all walks of life. However, the most common registration is those seeking a career change or school contracts coming to an end. Registering to work on supply opens up many fantastic opportunities – you will be introduced to various different schools that will challenge and improve your skillset. Not only this, a lot of the time it is possible for temporary positions to become permanent within a school (depending on the needs of the school and the teacher).
Teaching Personnel work with numerous Primary schools across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan (as well as Newport and Swansea). We are seeking excellent teachers that will improve and impress our partner Primary schools and who can work on a flexible basis (i.e. can cover day-to-day, short-term and long-term bookings). You will be able to manage your own availability and preferences. Furthermore, for those who are seeking full-time work and are flexible regarding travel we can offer Guaranteed Work Schemes.
To be successful in these positions you must therefore have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven recent teaching experience in the UK
- Flexibility to work across schools
- A good sense of humour
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
In return, Teaching Personnel can offer you:
- Great rates of pay (we pay the national framework)
- Pension scheme
- CPD academy
- A dedicated personal consultant to help you find work
If you are interested in working on supply please send an up to date CV via the link on this page or get in touch with Rachel Joseph in branch to discuss further on Rachel.joseph@teachingpersonnel.com.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
