Cover Supervisor – Bournemouth

Full-time / Part-time | Immediate Start Available

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? Schools across Bournemouth are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their teams and help maintain high-quality learning in the absence of the class teacher.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Support students with their learning and keep them on task
  • Report back to teaching staff on progress and any issues

This role is ideal for:

  • Graduates considering a career in teaching
  • Experienced teaching assistants looking to step up
  • Individuals with youth work, coaching, or mentoring experience
  • Anyone confident working with groups of young people

Requirements

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • A positive, proactive attitude
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
