Primary School SEN Learning Support Assistants | Start ASAP | Weymouth

Teaching Personel are looking for 2 Learning Support Assistants to work full time starting ASAP until the end of July 2019. You will be working for a lovely Primary School in Weymouth who are supportive and will welcome you to the team.

If so, working in a Learning Support Assistant role such as this will be perfect for you!

POSITION: Learning Support Assistant- Full Time

PERSON: Graduate - Patient & Caring - focus & experience working with Special Needs

SCHOOL: Weymouth School- graded GOOD- Supportive SLT

LOCATION: Weymouth

START DATE: ASAP - remainder of the academic year

SALARY: £55 to £65 per day

IDEAL PERSON FOR THE JOB: Primary school Teaching Assistant

The ideal individual will be someone who has previous experience working with SEN, preferably with children. You will be expected to hit the ground running hence being comfortable with working in a school would be essential. You need to be a confident and caring individual who can care for and help the children achieve their academic goals. Having a positive approach will be essential to keep the children enthusiastic about education.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary school Teaching Assistant

The role is varied but you will be mainly working with a boy who has Downs Syndrome, another child who has autism and also doing some general LSA tasks. You will be working in mainly in Year 1 and Year 3 and in the classroom with the teacher. Therefore, being proactive and jolly would make you a great candidate for this school as you will be getting involved with the bulk of the child's primary education.

The school is a lovely learning environment, with an excellent leadership and teaching team in place. The school site has a wealth of resources, which enable the pupils to access the school's creative curriculum. The Special needs coordinator will be on hand to guide you and help where needed.

The school is based in Poole and can be accessed via the local trains as well as through bus routes.
