Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a highly specialist education provider in Stockport for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team.

About the Role

You'll support children and young people with a range of complex additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Severe and profound learning difficulties
• Complex communication needs
• Sensory impairments
• Physical disabilities and medical needs

Your responsibilities will include:

✅ Providing 1:1 and small-group support
✅ Supporting communication, learning, and social development
✅ Assisting with personal care and mobility where required
✅ Encouraging independence and life skills
✅ Working alongside teachers, therapists, and specialist support staff
✅ Creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment

We're Looking For

• Experience in education, care, support work, or youth services
• A keen interest in SEN and specialist education
• Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
