Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for passionate History Teachers to join their teams from September 2026.

This opportunity would suit an experienced History Teacher, an ECT looking to begin their career, or a teacher looking for flexibility alongside other commitments.

The Role

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Encourage students to develop analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Plan lessons that meet the needs of different abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching History within a secondary setting.
• Has strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.
• Has effective classroom management skills.
• Is adaptable and committed to supporting student progress.

To Be Eligible For This Role Through Teaching Personnel, You Must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK.
• Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
