Job description

In partnership with a very supportive and welcoming Senior Leadership Team, we will be appointing a new Primary Teacher from January 2021. As well as planning and teaching, you will play a vital role in encouraging and supporting each pupil with independent education plans.

The school thrive on their excellent staff training and learning support given to SEN pupils, specialising in Autism, Complex Behaviour and SEMH. Their core values state that each child should be treated as an individual, which is why class sizes are much smaller than in a typical mainstream setting. Teaching up to 12 pupils at one time, the successful applicant will be a confident manager of behaviour. Although, you will have additional support in the classroom in the form of Learning Support Assistants.

However, you may be given the opportunity to gain a permanent contract with the school through an introductory period with Teaching Personnel.

QTS or relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTLS, PTTLS) is essential for this role, as well as your own transport – due to limited public transport links in the area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
