  • Fully Qualified Teacher (no NQTs).
  • Experience teaching in KS1 and KS2.
  • Good behaviour management.
  • Available full-time.

After the government’s announcement of ‘catch-up’ funding of which the 2nd round is due in January, the SLT have decided to restructure their PPA time to allow their HLTAs more time for focused intervention teaching this year. The school is rated as GOOD and is 2-form entry throughout year groups Reception – Year 6. The Head is very welcoming and has a good record of developing younger staff members in their time at the school.

Above all else the school need an experienced and confident teacher, who is reliable enough to work across these varied classes and age groups without too many issues. The Head wants to be able to trust the candidate in these various situations, so wide-ranging and varied school experience would reflect well in this sense. Some classes also have more challenging behaviour than others, so someone who is not intimidated by this and has a track record of handling tough classes is very desirable to the school.

This role is ideal for anyone looking for exciting teaching work with a variety of children, without the stresses of a full-time class teacher role. The school is easily accessible by train, bus or car, as it is situated not far from Leyton station.
