Start Date: September
Pay: £90–£105 per day

Are you a positive, caring, and adaptable individual looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children?
We’re seeking a Positive Learning Support Assistant to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive schools in the BS49 area of Bristol.

In this role, you’ll support pupils from Early Years through to Key Stage 2, helping them learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll have the opportunity to experience different school environments, build strong relationships with staff and pupils, and play a vital role in supporting children’s education and wellbeing.

The Role:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and creative learning activities across the curriculum.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their personal and academic goals.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the needs of children of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds, including those with SEN and EAL.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and social skills.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure consistent support for pupils.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (Early Years, KS1, or KS2).
  • Friendly, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships quickly.
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education practices.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or Early Years (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
